Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment to perform diagnostic exams
- Adjust equipment settings based on patient needs and prescribed protocols to obtain the best diagnostic images
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards to protect patients and staff
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by explaining processes, positioning patients correctly and efficiently
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to evaluate images and determine the necessity of further tests
- Maintain accurate patient records and radiographic logs
- Participate in quality control procedures to ensure high-quality diagnostic images
