Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to a diverse patient population across the care continuum.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.
  • Document care accurately in the electronic health record and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other team members to coordinate patient-centered care.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns promptly.
  • Support quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives within the unit.
  • Precept or mentor new nurses and support staff as assigned.
