UF Health is seeking a Radiology Tech to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging exams within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will prepare and position patients, operate radiologic equipment, and ensure accurate image acquisition for diagnosis and treatment. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians while maintaining strict radiation safety, infection control, and patient privacy standards. Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams according to physician orders and department protocols
- Prepare, position, and instruct patients to ensure optimal image quality and patient comfort
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain radiologic equipment and imaging systems
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles for patients, self, and staff
- Verify patient identity and exam details, and document procedures accurately in the EMR/PACSCollaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment
- Maintain infection control, patient privacy, and regulatory compliance at all times
- Assist with contrast procedures and monitor patients per protocol
- Participate in quality assurance, accreditation, and performance improvement activities
- Engage in ongoing education, competency training, and professional development opportunities
