BJC HealthCare seeks an Acute Internal Medicine Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care to adult inpatients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based acute internal medicine nursing care to adult inpatients.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, monitor responses, and manage complex treatment regimens.
- Monitor vital signs, telemetry, and clinical status, escalating changes promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff on care plans and discharges.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care after discharge.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR accurately and timely.
- Precept and mentor newer nurses, supporting a culture of learning and excellence.
- Participate in quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives on the unit.
- Uphold infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
