Job Description
A health services organization in New York City is seeking a licensed Family Medicine Physician to join their inpatient behavioral health facility in Brooklyn.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (or weekend and evening coverage, depending on assignment)
- Hours: Standard business hours; evening and weekend hours may apply
- Setting: Inpatient Adult Mental Health
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting
- Examine patients, review medical histories, and assess current health concerns
- Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests and examinations
- Diagnose conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and other treatments, and provide health guidance to patients
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Valid license to practice medicine in the State of New York
- Valid Federal Narcotics Number
- Medicare and Medicaid enrollment in New York State
