Graduate Nurse/Nurse Resident - FT - Various Units

Job Description

Position Requirements:

 

  1. Prior to hire as a Graduate Nurse, you must earn a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited college or university.
  2. Within 120 days of hire, you must pass the NCLEX exam and receive your Nursing License for the State of Tennessee.
  3. Within 90 days of hire, you must earn Basic Life Support (BLS) – offered internally
  4. Within 180 days of hire, you must earn Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification – offered internally

 

Additional certifications are required for specific roles:

 

Basic Arrhythmia, within 180 days of hire – offered internally

  • Cardiac Telemetry
  • Critical Care
  • Emergency Department
  • Float Pool

 

Advanced Life Support (ALS or ACLS), within 180 days of hire – offered internally

  • Critical Care
  • Float Pool

 

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), within 180 days of hire – offered internally

  • Pediatric Inpatient
  • Pediatric Emergency Department
  • Float Pool

 

Acute Critical Care Nursing (CCRN), or Progressive Critical Care Nursing (PCCN) certification, within two years of hire

  • Critical Care (requirements may vary by specific role)

 

ONS Chemo/Immunotherapy certification, within one year of hire

  • Oncology Unit

 

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), within one year of hire

  • Emergency Department
  • Pediatric Emergency Department (requirements may vary by specific role)

 

Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), within one year of hire

  • Pediatric Emergency Department

 

STABLE, Neonatal Recusation Program (NRP), Care of the OB Patient, and/or Fetal Monitoring, within one year of hire – offered internally

  • Obstetrics Department (requirements may vary by specific role)
