Job Description
Assist pharmacist(s) in obtaining prior to admission medication histories; assess patient risk factors for adherence to prescribed regimens; review/enter patient allergies and triage medication-related problems identified via communication with pharmacists, other providers, or patients. Assist in the training of staff and development of procedures. Use of multiple computer devices and programs for adequate documentation are required.
Qualifications
AS
2 yrs
Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
Schedule
Day shift; Monday-Friday with some weekend requirements.
