Registered Nurse (RN) Palliative Care

Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave Fort Worth TX 76104
Work hours: Full Time (7P-7A) for 36 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday requirements
Department highlights:
· Patients are admitted to this 16 bed unit for chronic medical and palliative care. The patient population consist of patients with multiple acute chronic diseases requiring aggressive treatment such as Copd, Heart Failure, Pneumonia, Infectious Diseases as well as those facing end of life care.
· Flexible Self Scheduling.
· This unit is known for it’s teamwork and collaboration.
· Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma of Nursing(required) BSN preferred.
· Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire (required)
· Current BLS prior to providing independent patient care.
· CPI training within 90 days of hire (required)
· One (1) year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program (required)
· 1+ years of experience as an Med/surg RN and end of life care preferred
· Strong med/surg experience including charge/preceptor skills (preferred)

The hospital continues to grow and visiting campus today you will find a Women's Imaging and Breast Center, a bariatric clinic, an ambulatory surgery center and a variety of physician practices all dedicated to our evolving community health needs. You will see that our long awaited expansion is well underway! This expansion, focused on a healthy future in this high growth area of North Texas, will double the size of our hospital adding more patient beds, a Level 2 NICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and expanding other departments including Labor & Delivery, OR and the emergency room.
