Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:
- Provide both inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology services with 12-15 patient encounters per shift
- Work schedule follows clinic and call coverage with shift times of 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm, Monday through Friday
- Minimum of 4 weeks of shifts required per month with 8 guaranteed hours per day
- On-call responsibilities include weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend beeper call, with providers on call 1 out of every 3 weeks
- Phone-only call response required; no on-site callback after hours or on weekends
- Providers must hold an active California medical license; licensed in CA only
- Board certified or board eligible within 3-5 years of residency required
- DEA registration required; BLS certification required
- Two years of current inpatient case logs in the specialty required for hospital privileges
- All gaps in clinical activity greater than 3 months must be explained
- Providers with a clean file may be eligible for temporary privileges for an earlier start date
- Providers with settlements, DUIs/drug issues, restrictions, terminations, or Medical Board actions are not eligible for temporary privileges
- Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days
