WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in New York. This assignment offers ongoing coverage in a busy Level II Trauma Center with a collaborative emergency medicine team and comprehensive specialty support.

This opportunity is within a high-volume emergency department with approximately 77,000 annual patient visits . The department includes 53 emergency treatment beds and an 8-bed Fast Track , providing a collaborative practice environment with physician and advanced practice provider support.

The facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical record and offers outstanding specialty backup, including Hospital Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Trauma Surgery, Cardiology, Critical Care/Pulmonology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology, Orthopedics, Hand Surgery, Podiatry, OB/GYN, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Gastroenterology, Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Oral Surgery.

• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
• Previous Emergency Medicine experience required
• Active New York Nurse Practitioner license
• Active DEA registration
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• ATLS certification (or previous ATLS certification for Emergency Medicine providers)

• Level II Trauma Center
• Approximately 77,000 annual ED visits
• 53 ED beds plus 8 Fast Track beds
