Work location:

Work hours:
· PRN – As Needed, Variable Shifts
· 12-hour shifts (days, mid, and night)
· Weekend and Holiday Requirements

· Department engagement encourages as well as required staff meetings
· PCT Training Program TX CNA, NHA, NAHP, NCCT, accredited community college program or a THR approved program upon hire required. Not required to maintain certification when applicable after hire. Or
· EMT - Emergency Medical Technician Military experience with medical training equivalent (Equivalent to EMT-B) upon hire required or
· Other Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program upon hire required or
· Other - 1 year of applicable experience in lieu of an active and approved certification upon hire required and
· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
· Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced work environment, positive interpersonal skills, and good verbal and written communication skills. Nursing Students who do not complete course of study in nursing but have completed their Fundamentals Training and EMTs who do not formally retain their EMT status may continue in role if they have consistently demonstrated skills in their PCT position.
What You Will Do:
· Provides assistance to patient according to plan of care.
· Collects patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurse.
· Assists in admission/transfer/discharge.
· Provides and Revises patient activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences.
· Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.
· Takes action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
· Enters orders into computer or manual system if applicable.

The hospital continues to grow and visiting campus today you will find a Women's Imaging and Breast Center, a bariatric clinic, an ambulatory surgery center and a variety of physician practices all dedicated to our evolving community health needs. You will see that our long awaited expansion is well underway! This expansion, focused on a healthy future in this high growth area of North Texas, will double the size of our hospital adding more patient beds, a Level 2 NICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and expanding other departments including Labor & Delivery, OR and the emergency room.
