About the Role

As a Physician at ELFHCC, you ll provide comprehensive medical services including physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and offering preventive care. You ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team across clinical settings, including medical offices, nursing homes, and patient homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary and specialty care in clinic, nursing home, and home settings
  • Conduct exams, review histories, and order diagnostic tests
  • Provide hospital follow-up care at UPMC Shadyside and Magee Women s Hospital (credentialing/scope dependent)
  • Promote wellness and prevention through patient education
  • Oversee care delivered by PNPs and PACs; supervise triage functions of nurses
  • Participate in evening/weekend call coverage
  • Maintain accurate, timely records and billing documentation
  • Complete forms for insurance, disability, and assistance programs
  • Review labs and cultures; follow up with appropriate care
  • Support clinical research with Medical Director approval
  • Attend CME, staff meetings, in-service trainings, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate in protocol development and compliance
  • Ensure practices meet all regulatory and ethical standards


Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Current Pennsylvania medical license
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or OB-GYN
  • Minimum of 3 years post-residency experience preferred
  • Bilingual candidates strongly preferred
  • Interest in urban/inner-city medicine a must
