Job Description
We areseeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a busycommunity emergency department in Orlando, Florida. This is an excellentopportunity to practice in a modern, well-supported emergency department withaccess to comprehensive specialty services.
PositionHighlights
- Level II Trauma Center
- Comprehensive Stroke Center and STEMI/Heart Center
- 11 private patient care beds
- Dedicated trauma room
- Dedicated pediatric treatment room
- Approximately 30 patients per day
- Patients requiring admission are transferred to the main campus with seamless handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists
- Collaborative emergency medicine team
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent medical conditions.
- Stabilize and manage critically ill and injured patients.
- Perform emergency procedures within the scope of emergency medicine practice.
- Manage trauma, medical, and pediatric emergencies.
- Coordinate care with specialists and inpatient teams to ensure smooth patient transitions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based emergency care in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) preferred
- Board Certified in Family Medicine with a minimum of 4 years of Emergency Medicine experience and/or completion of an Emergency Medicine Fellowship will also be considered
- Current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain
- DEA registration required
