ATC Locums is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Hematologist/Oncologist to provide comprehensive outpatient cancer care in beautiful Redding, California. Opportunity Highlights- Location: Redding, California
- Practice Setting: Hospital-based Outpatient Chemotherapy & Infusion Center
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Call: Remote night call Monday-Thursday (5:00 PM-8:00 AM) and remote weekend call Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 8:00 AM
- Patient Volume: Approximately 15-20 patients per day
- Coverage Dates: August 31 through December 31, with multiple consecutive weekly coverage blocks available
- Ongoing Opportunity: Yes, ongoing coverage due to provider shortage
As the primary onsite Hematologist/Oncologist, you will oversee both the Oncology/Hematology Clinic and Infusion Center while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, treatment planning, hospital consults, and admissions coordination with hospitalists and emergency physicians.
The infusion center provides:
- Chemotherapy
- Immunotherapy
- Blood and platelet transfusions
- Hormone therapy
- Antibiotic infusions
- Therapeutic phlebotomy
- Rheumatology infusion therapies
- Dedicated Advanced Practice Provider
- Clinic RN
- Two Medical Assistants
- Front office staff
- Billing/quality support
- Ten experienced infusion RNs
- EMR: iKnowMed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Hematology/Oncology Fellowship
- Active California medical license
- DEA required
- ACLS required if requesting moderate sedation privileges
