Docstar is looking for a Pediatrician (MD) for an outpatient contract in California.
Start Date: May 26
Length of Assignment: 12 weeks (definite possibility of extension)
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8AM 5PM (admin time built in)
Credentialing: 3 weeks
Patient Volume: Approximately 24 patients/day (up to 29 scheduled with 20% no-show rate; walk-ins possible)
Procedures: Full-scope general pediatrics, including circumcisions; bread & butter cases
Setting: FQHC
EMR: Epic
Licence Needed: Active CA license
Certifications: Board Certified or truly Board Eligible
Details:
Outpatient pediatric role within a Federally Qualified Health Center serving a diverse patient population. Physicians are supported by 1 1.5 MAs, including a float, and will primarily focus on general pediatrics while maintaining flexibility to cover multiple clinic locations if needed. There is a structured 3-week Epic training ramp-up. Approximately 75% of the patient population is Spanish-speaking or Filipino, with interpreter services readily available and many staff members bilingual.
