Job Description
Schedule: Monday-Friday coverage with 7:00a-7:00p and 7:00a-3:00p shifts; ongoing 3-6 month assignment
Commitment: Minimum 3-month coverage commitment required
Setting: Primarily inpatient cardiothoracic and vascular surgery service
Patient Volume: Approximately 10-20 patient encounters per day
EMR: Epic
Call: 1-2 weeknight calls per week and 1:4 weekend call rotation; occasional long weekends (Friday through Tuesday morning)
Required Skills: Open and endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH/OVH), chest tube management, CVSICU post-operative care, inpatient consults, floor management, and cardiothoracic surgery patient care
Preferred Skills: Open radial artery harvest experience
Board Status: Board Certified required
Licensure: Delaware license preferred for expedited start; licensing candidates considered
Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS
Credentialing: Approximately 60+ days
