Plant Mechanic

Work Location: Texas Health Resources, 612 E. Lamar Blvd, Arlington, TX 76011
Work Hours: Full-Time; Monday – Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm

Qualifications
Education
· High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
Experience
· 3 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of equipment and utilities systems required.
· Healthcare environment is preferred.
· HVAC experience is preferred.
· High rise building experience is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
· DL - Driver’s License Valid Class C Driver's License Upon Hire required.
Skills
· Must have good written and verbal skills to read blueprints, work orders and interact with staff, tenants, contractors and others.
· Able to use hand tools, electrical tools and others with little supervision.
· Requires the ability to travel, climb stairs and ladders to access equipment; pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping and standing in difficult positions in crowded quarters to make inspections and observe equipment, displays and dials.
What You Will Do:
· Maintain the efficient operation of the facility by:
o Identify equipment operational and maintenance needs.
o Implement preventive maintenance program for plant equipment, machinery and related facilities.
o Record mechanical equipment readings and ensure accuracy of records kept.
o Maintain plant safety features.
o Perform major repair on machinery and to the facility including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry and mechanical equipment.
o Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
o Ability to perform rotating on call duties as scheduled.
· Perform routine mechanical, electrical, or machining maintenance activities on equipment including lubrication, inspection, replacement of parts, and related plant work activities.
· Utilize the CMMS to keep accurate computerized records of activities, time, and materials required?? keeps accurate reports of equipment maintenance and performance.
· Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs, educational opportunities, and related training.

The hospital continues to grow and visiting campus today you will find a Women's Imaging and Breast Center, a bariatric clinic, an ambulatory surgery center and a variety of physician practices all dedicated to our evolving community health needs. You will see that our long awaited expansion is well underway! This expansion, focused on a healthy future in this high growth area of North Texas, will double the size of our hospital adding more patient beds, a Level 2 NICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and expanding other departments including Labor & Delivery, OR and the emergency room.
