Position Summary

Franklin General Hospital is seeking a positive, experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong critical thinking skills to join our Med/Surg/ED team. This position offers the opportunity to care for a variety of patients, including hospice, skilled, medical, and emergency patients, while working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized nursing care to Med/Surg, ED, hospice, and skilled patients
  • Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and support innovation
  • Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork across all shifts and patient needs
  • Serve in a leadership role frequently, including charge nurse responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Must have a minimum of a year's experience working in an ED
  • Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills
  • Positive, energetic, and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Interest in process improvement and innovative care approaches

Schedule

  • Full-Time: 36 hours per week
  • 12-hour day shifts starting at 7:00 AM
