What You ll Do

• Provide emergent OB/GYN coverage including high-risk obstetric care
• Collaborate with in-house anesthesia and MFM teams for patient management
• Manage deliveries and obstetric emergencies in a hospital setting
• Support private OBs with backup coverage when needed
• Assist with neonatal care coordination (NICU level 3B on-site at the mothership hospital)
• Involvement in the management of daily obstetric and Gynecology emergencies
• Maintain documentation and compliance standards per hospital policies

What You Need
Required:

• Virginia medical license or eligible for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• Active DEA license
• At least 2 years of obstetric or hospitalist experience in a similar setting

Preferred:

• Experience with high-volume obstetric units
• Knowledge of Level 3B NICU operations
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

About the Assignment

The hospital has a Level 3B neonatal unit, with 10 newborn bassinets and LDRPs, supporting emergent OB needs and high-quality patient care. The facility operates with a dedicated Laborist team covering in-house labor and delivery, with support from private practitioners as needed.
