Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

Experienced OB/GYN physicians: join a well-supported locum tenens opportunity in the welcoming Stevens Point, Wisconsin community, with inpatient call, clinic coverage, and a balanced physician schedule in central Wisconsin. This OB/GYN physician job offers meaningful patient care in both the hospital and office setting, with the birthing center and clinic on the same floor to support efficient collaboration and continuity of care.

• Position: Locum Tenens Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician (OB/GYN)
• Location: Stevens Point, Wisconsin
• Setting: Hospital-based call coverage and outpatient clinic coverage
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $5,870 - $6,950
• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage daily, including weekends, with clinic coverage Monday-Friday
• Clinic Coverage: Approximately 4 hours of clinic patients Monday-Friday; one weekday may be clinic-only with no call
• Duration: Ongoing coverage with multiple dates needed in 2026
• Patient Volume: Approximately 0-3 hospital patient encounters per shift and 6 hours of clinic
• EMR: EPIC
• Certification: BLS required

• Physician (MD) degree required
• Minimum 1 year of Obstetrics & Gynecology experience required
• Board eligible accepted; board certification not required
• Strong experience in low-risk pregnancy care required
• High-risk pregnancy experience preferred
• Experience with fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) required
• Amniocentesis experience required
• Routine vaginal delivery experience required
• Decision-making for cesarean section required
• Complex delivery experience required, including C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations required
• Surgical gynecology experience required, including open and laparoscopic/minor and major operative procedures
• Ability to collaborate with midwifery and nursing teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment

• Provide 24-hour obstetrics and gynecology call coverage
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage OB/GYN patients in the outpatient clinic setting
• Review lab results, respond to inbasket messages, and serve as a resource for nursing staff and other locums providers
• Manage low-risk pregnancies and selected high-risk pregnancies
• Perform and interpret fetal monitoring studies as needed
• Support routine and complicated deliveries, including cesarean delivery decision-making
• Perform gynecologic evaluations and procedures in the office and surgical setting
• Collaborate closely with onsite clinicians, including midwifery support, to ensure continuity of care
• Deliver high-quality maternal care while maintaining a safe, efficient workflow across clinic and hospital duties
