Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive health assessments, including physical examinations and patient histories.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
- Provide preventive care, health screenings, immunizations, and wellness counseling.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Valid NP License for the State of VA
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification
