Pharmacy Senior Technician I/UKHC

Assist pharmacist(s) with M2B prescription processing and distribution to patients/families within Chandler or Good Samaritan hospital(s); collect prescription and patient information required to process prescriptions under the direction of a pharmacist; deliver medications to patients; and collect payments using a point of sale system. Use of multiple computer devices and programs for adequate documentation are required. Other duties may include assisting pharmacist(s) in obtaining prior to admission medication histories; assess patient risk factors for adherence to prescribed regimens; review/enter patient allergies and triage medication related problems identified via communication with pharmacists, other providers, or patients. This position is eligible for a recruitment bonus. Additional details will be provided during the hiring process should your application be selected to move forward. The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience.

Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.

Hospital/retail pharmacy technician and/or healthcare customer service experience preferred.

This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
