W-2 Role with a Daytime Schedule in Northwest Georgia (1 hour outside of Atlanta)

Pioneer is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine provider to support our growing partnership with AdventHealth Gordon in Calhoun, Georgia. This opportunity is ideal for a physician who is passionate about pulmonary and critical care medicine, comprehensive sleep medicine, patient-centered care, and collaboration across hospital, outpatient, and multidisciplinary care teams.

This role offers week-on/week-off coverage with 12-hour shifts covering a mix of hospital and clinic pulmonary, critical care, and sleep patients.

Key Responsibilities

Provide week-on/week-off coverage, including 12-hour shifts.

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with pulmonary, critical care, and sleep-related conditions across hospital and outpatient settings.

Interpret sleep studies and partner with sleep lab, clinical, and administrative teams to support timely, coordinated patient care.

Support quality improvement initiatives related to access, patient experience, documentation, compliance, and outcomes.

Contribute to a team culture grounded in communication, professionalism, compassion, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree with board certification or board eligibility in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.

Experience managing ICU patients, pulmonary consults, and sleep medicine patients required.

Eligible for Georgia medical licensure and DEA registration, or ability to obtain prior to start date.

Experience interpreting sleep studies and managing outpatient sleep medicine patients preferred.

Strong clinical judgment, documentation habits, and commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Interest in program growth, quality improvement, and building strong referral relationships within Calhoun, Gordon County, and the surrounding Northwest Georgia market.
