Urology NP/PA Opening in Charlottesville, Virginia Location: Charlottesville, VA Nearby Cities: Richmond 70 m, Washington, D.C. 115 m, Virginia Beach 165 m Type: Full-Time, Permanent Setting: Hospital-Employed, Inpatient + Outpatient + OR Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its Urology team in Charlottesville, Virginia. This opportunity provides a mix of inpatient, outpatient, and OR responsibilities with no call requirements, while maintaining a strong work-life balance. Practice Overview: - Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ; no evenings or weekends - Join a well-established team of 2 physicians and 1 APP - Inpatient responsibilities: rounding, consults, discharges, and occasional OR time - Outpatient duties: follow-up visits, pre- and post-op evaluations, catheter care, reviewing labs/biopsies/imaging, bladder scans, and more - Perform procedures including Foley insertions, uroflow/urodynamics, cystoscopies, and vasectomies - Maintain an independent patient panel of 12-15 patients/day - No call requirements at this time - Fully integrated Epic EHR - Non-profit, PSLF eligible Candidate Requirements: - Licensed NP/PA in Virginia (or eligibility) - Urology or surgical subspecialty experience preferred - Strong procedural skills and ability to manage an independent patient panel - Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care Compensation & Benefits: - Competitive salary with $5,000 annual Quality Performance Incentive - $10,000 tuition repayment assistance - $3,000 CME allowance - Malpractice insurance with tail coverage - Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and disability - License reimbursement - Retirement plan options - Generous PTO About the Area: Charlottesville, VA is a historic and vibrant community, home to the University of Virginia and offering excellent schools, diverse dining, and a thriving arts scene.
