Lake Regional Healthcare is currently seeking Paramedics to deliver the best possible emergency care in LRH’s patient-focused setting.
SUMMARY:
Provides out-of-hospital care per established protocols, under direction of the medical director, appropriate to the age of each patient. Assists patient care and clinical service departments as priorities allow. Assists in educational activities of the Ambulance Services Department.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required. One-year experience as an Iowa Paramedic preferred.
CERTIFICATION and LICENSURE:
Iowa Paramedic (National Registry Paramedic) certification required per individual position description requirements. Must be current in or attend the first available class to obtain certifications in BLS for the healthcare provider, ACLS Provider, PALS Provider, AMLS Provider, PHTLS Provider, and Hazardous Response at Operations level. Current certification in Mandatory Reporting of Child and Dependent Adult Abuse or willingness to obtain in accordance with Education Policy. Must be willing to acquire additional certifications as required by the department.
