SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Physical Therapist Assistants, Rehabilitation Services Aides.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Preferred:Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited school of physical therapy.
Required: Current state licensure as a physical therapist. Bachelor’s Degree from accredited school of physical therapy.
Within 6 months of hire: Attend one of the following wound courses (online or in-person)
International Lymphedema and Wound Training Institute Certified Wound Therapist course: https://www.ilwti.com - OR-The American Board of Wound Management certification prep course: http://www.abwmfoundation.org/wound-certification-prep-course
Within 12 months of hire: Successfully pass the wound certification examination (through the ILWTI course or ABWM Course Completion and National Board Test)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current MN Physical Therapy license in good standing. CPR certification on an annual basis. Wound certification (within 12 months of hire). Specialty groups designed to serve specific diagnosis groups may require further certification and/or education.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
