Physical Therapist (P.T.) Sports Medicine Full-time

·        Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy program upon hire Required Or

·        Master’s degree Physical Therapy program upon hire Required Or

·        Other Doctorate Physical Therapy upon hire Required.

·        Prefer 2-years prior Physical Therapy experience.

·        PT - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required And

·        BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.

·        Other Board-Certified Clinical Specialist upon hire preferred.

·        Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

·        Problem- solving ability; Ability to teach others.

·        Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.

What You Will Do

•        Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.

•        Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.

•        Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home
programs/self-management and assistive equipment.

•        Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.

•        Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel

•        Focus on Daily Living Skills, Mobility and Cognition of patients.
