Work hours: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with flexibility based on department needs

· Master’s Degree Nursing required
· 2 years’ direct patient care experience Required and
· 5 years of current hospital experience Required
· Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required
· Other CNL or other professional nursing certification within 12 Months of hire required
· SSLP - Six Sigma Lean Professional Upon Hire Preferred
· Interpersonal skills, Effective oral and written skills, Collaboration and negotiation skills, and Excellent organizational skills
What You Will Do:
· Collaborates with physicians and/or APRN for services needed as well as all with other allied health care providers
· Partners with physicians by engaging in rounding to discuss priority of patients and patient care needs
· Participates in interprofessional rounds, leading when appropriate
· Collaborates with care transitions team to facilitate discharges, RCB measures, review of excess days and patient throughput
· Facilitates the development, implementation, monitoring, and assessment of processes that impact patient outcomes
· Uses benchmark data from internal and external sources to identify opportunities for improvement of care and patient safety
· Incorporates the quality caring model in daily nursing decisions
· Participates in shared decision making by participating in councils as requested by nursing leadership

The hospital continues to grow and visiting campus today you will find a Women's Imaging and Breast Center, a bariatric clinic, an ambulatory surgery center and a variety of physician practices all dedicated to our evolving community health needs. You will see that our long awaited expansion is well underway! This expansion, focused on a healthy future in this high growth area of North Texas, will double the size of our hospital adding more patient beds, a Level 2 NICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and expanding other departments including Labor & Delivery, OR and the emergency room.
