Emergency Medicine PA/NP Locum Opportunity Oakland, CA
We're actively seeking 2 experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioners (NPs) for a locum opportunity, If you're looking for a fast-paced Emergency Department environment with excellent compensation and a collaborative team, this opportunity is for you.
• Assignment: 13 weeks with strong potential for extension
• Start Date: ASAP
• Setting: Emergency Department Fast Track
• Schedule:
o 4 x 10-hour shifts per week
o 4:00 PM 2:00 AM
o Monday through Sunday scheduling
o Every other weekend required (with weekdays off)
• Hourly all-inclusive compensation
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work within the Emergency Department's Fast Track unit, treating lower-acuity patients in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Responsibilities include:
• Evaluate and treat low-acuity emergency patients
• Manage approximately 8 12 patients per shift (patient volume may increase based on census)
• Work alongside Emergency Medicine physicians, fellow PAs/NPs, Registered Nurses, and Medical Assistants
• Utilize Epic electronic medical record
Facility Highlights
• Busy Emergency Department with dedicated Fast Track unit
• Collaborative multidisciplinary support
• No call responsibilities
• Average patient volume: patients per day
Requirements
Qualified candidates must have:
• Board Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• DEA
• Active California License (required at presentation)
• California Controlled Substance Course Certificate (required at presentation)
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
Credentialing
• Estimated 60-day credentialing process from completed application.
