Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Job Details 
- Location: Henrico, VA
- Healthcare Setting: 40-bed Level III NICU
- Employment Type: Locum tenens (travel nurse contract)
- Start Date: November 17, 2025
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with potential extension
- Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, supporting 24/7 NICU coverage
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
- Current APRN national specialty certification
- Board Certified as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC)
- Master s degree or higher in nursing
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (at least 6 months in a Level III NICU or similar acute care setting)
- Clinically active within the past 12 months
- Deliver advanced neonatal care in a 40-bed Level III NICU, including HFOV, HFJV, nitric oxide therapy, and therapeutic hypothermia
- Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatric surgeons, and cardiologists to provide comprehensive clinical support
- Participate in building and shaping the new NNP program, contributing to a culture of innovation and clinical excellence
- Provide family-centered care in a single-family room NICU model
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Support quality improvement initiatives and best practices in neonatal medicine
