Job Description
A regional healthcare organization in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with experience in orthopedics or other surgical specialties to join a high-volume surgical service within a well-supported hospital setting.
Position Highlights:
- Full-time schedule: approximately 150 shifts per year
- Mix of operating room, inpatient rounding, and outpatient clinic responsibilities
- Night call coverage approximately 4 shifts per month with additional support available
- Surgical APP responsibilities include:
- First assist in surgery
- Hospital rounding and inpatient care
- Post-operative follow-up visits
- New patient evaluations and screening
- Same-day walk-in orthopedic visits
- Collaborative, team-based surgical environment focused on quality and patient safety
- Strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and patient-centered care
