Job Description
We're building our cardiology team for ongoing 2027 coverage at Ochsner Lafayette General in Lafayette, LA.
This is one of our direct hospital relationships, and we're recruiting early because the credentialing process takes longer than most facilities. If you're thinking about adding a consistent locums rotation in 2027, now is a great time to start the conversation.

The APP team handles pre-rounding, documentation, orders, care coordination, and most of the day-to-day workflow so you can focus on patient care and clinical decision-making.
Weekend days are typically lighter and often finish around 2:00 PM while still guaranteeing eight hours of pay.
Compensation- $375/hr weekdays
- $400/hr weekends
- $400/hr overtime
Our Physician-Owner, Dr. Khalid Mojadidi, has been covering this service for the past year and continues to work there regularly. He describes it as one of the best-supported inpatient cardiology programs he's worked in.
We also have three SIHAT physicians currently working at this facility, and they've had an excellent experience.
Requirements- Louisiana license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification
- BLS & ACLS
- Clean malpractice history
