Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join a collaborative medical team in Anchorage, Alaska. This position offers a 7 on/7 off block schedule with 10-hour shifts, providing an excellent work-life balance in a dynamic inpatient setting.

The provider will be responsible for managing medical care for patients ages 5+, including admissions, follow-ups, diagnostics, and discharges, while working closely with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.

Schedule:

  • 7 on / 7 off block schedule

  • 10-hour shifts

  • Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Perform initial medical admission evaluations and complete history & physicals (H&Ps) within 24 hours of admission

  • Conduct follow-up visits, ongoing assessments, and discharge planning

  • Manage diagnostics, treatments, and medical care for patients ages 5+

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff to develop integrated treatment plans

  • Co-manage patients with complex medical and behavioral health comorbidities

  • Provide medical consultations and recommend appropriate diagnostic testing and treatment plans

  • Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

  • Active or eligible Alaska Nurse Practitioner license

  • Experience in hospitalist, inpatient, or behavioral health settings preferred

  • Strong clinical, communication, and collaboration skills
