Job Description
A hospital network is seeking a Neonatologist for a Level III NICU in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. This opportunity focuses on providing neonatal care in a collaborative nursery and special care setting with a family-centered approach.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: 24-hour shifts, 4-6 shifts per month
- Hours: 24-hour shifts, occasionally split into 12-hour shifts
Setting: In-person, Level III NICU
Responsibilities:
- Provide neonatal care for infants in the nursery and special care unit
- Manage deliveries and consult on newborn care in collaboration with obstetric providers
- Evaluate, stabilize, and treat neonatal patients in a Level III NICU environment
- Document patient care and clinical findings in the electronic medical record
Work within a multidisciplinary care team to support high-quality neonatal outcomes
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Neonatology
- Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
1-2 years of neonatal experience
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in a Level III NICU
- Experience using EPIC
- Familiarity with newborn nursery and special care workflows
