About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Board-Certified Obstetrician & Gynecologist - Residency Preceptor to join our academic team. This position combines clinical practice with teaching responsibilities in a dynamic residency program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outpatient care and a passion for educating future physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precepting Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor residents in the outpatient clinic setting.
- Provide guidance on patient care, clinical decision-making, and professional development.
- Clinical Duties:
- See patients in the office and precept residents during clinic sessions.
- Outpatient office only
- Maintain a 50/50 split between OB and GYN care, with no delivery responsibilities.
- Typical patient volume:
- Precepting: 12?15 patients/day (2?3 residents in morning, 2?3 residents in afternoon)
- Independent practice: 20?25 patients/day.
Schedule & Call:
- No call responsibilities.
- Primarily outpatient with limited minor surgical procedures.
Team Structure:
- 6 physicians (plus 5 preceptors ? mix of full-time and part-time).
- 5 APPs (Mix of CRNP and Midwives).
- 20 residents in the program.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in OB/GYN.
- Demonstrated teaching experience and strong interest in academic medicine.
- Extensive outpatient experience preferred.
