Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist - General

Experienced Anesthesiologist needed for a long-term locum tenens anesthesiology opportunity with weekly pay of $11,890-$12,530. This 52-week contract begins September 28, 2026 and offers a collaborative provider team and a broad case mix, including general, OB/GYN, pediatrics, orthopedics, and more.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday rotation, 4 weeks on/1 week off
  • Shifts Per Week: 5
  • Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
  • Daily Hours: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM with late room coverage support from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM
  • Call Schedule: 5:00 PM-7:00 AM Monday-Friday and 24-hour weekend call coverage
  • Call Response Time: 30 minutes
  • Case Mix: General, Endoscopy, OB, GYN, Pediatrics, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Plastics, and Orthopedics
  • Documentation System: Medaxion EMR
Anesthesiologist Job Requirements
  • At least 2 years of anesthesiology experience required
  • Active physician license in the applicable state
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology
  • Current AHA certifications required
  • Proficiency in spinals, blocks, and epidurals
  • Case logs required demonstrating regional anesthesia experience, including epidurals, spinals, and blocks
  • Ability to meet a 30-minute call response time
Anesthesiologist Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for a broad range of surgical and procedural cases
  • Perform preoperative and pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans
  • Administer and monitor general anesthesia and regional anesthesia while ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative period
  • Perform regional anesthesia techniques including spinals, blocks, and epidurals
  • Support call coverage and respond promptly to urgent patient care needs
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and fellow providers to maintain efficient OR flow and strong patient outcomes
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the Medaxion EMR system
