Job Description

We areseeking an experienced Family Medicine Physician Assistant to provide locumtenens coverage in St. Ignace, Michigan. This outpatient opportunity offers aconsistent four-day workweek with no call or weekend responsibilities, makingit an excellent assignment for providers seeking work-life balance.

  • Assignment Length: Minimum 12 weeks
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, four 10-hour shifts
  • Call: None
  • Weekends: None
  • Practice Setting: Outpatient Primary Care
  • Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
  • Patient Volume: Approximately 18-22 patients per day
  • EMR: Epic
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services for adult and geriatric patients.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Perform preventive care, wellness visits, and chronic disease management.
  • Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues.
  • Perform pelvic exams and Pap smears.
  • Complete disability examinations as needed.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • NCCPA Board Certified
  • Active Michigan Physician Assistant license
  • Active DEA registration
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum of one year of Primary Care or Family Medicine experience
