Surgery - Neurosurgery Physician Assistant

Docstar is looking for a Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for a contract in North Carolina.

Start Date: June (Days) / September (Nights)
Length of Assignment: Ongoing through December 2026
Schedule: 7A 7P (Days) or 7P 7A (Nights)
Credentialing: 6 8 weeks
Patient Volume: Inpatient only at a Level 1 Trauma Center
Procedures: Admissions, discharges, consultations, and optional OR first assist (limited night discharges)
Setting: Hospital
EMR: Epic
Licence Needed: NC (active and clean)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA), DEA

Details:
Inpatient neurosurgery role at a Level 1 Trauma Center supported by a team of 9 neurosurgeons and 9 APPs. Providers will focus on inpatient care including consults, admissions, and discharges, with the opportunity to assist in the OR if desired. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of neurosurgery experience and are comfortable in a high-acuity environment. Located in North Carolina, offering a vibrant mix of coastal access, growing medical communities, and a high quality of life.
