Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:- Provides interventional and diagnostic Cardiology services at their primary designated WellSpan institution.
- Participates as a consulting physician to patients requiring Cardiology Care.
- Participates in Interventional call to ensure that their designated Cath lab is providing 24/7 support to the community for patient emergencies requiring interventional cardiology.
- Provides in-hospital patient care and consultations as required.
- Assists with General Cardiology call as well for their designated WellSpan institution unless otherwise indicated.
- Provides care to patients in the clinic setting and works to establish a regular presence with access in line with Medical Group standards
- Participates in departmental and practice meetings when necessary to provide direction and support to their designated program
- Completion of documentation will be done in accordance with Medical Group standards
Common Expectations:- Participates in Medical Staff activities as required and/or as requested.
- Observes the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Hospital and the Medical Staff.
- Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.
- Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.

QualificationsMinimum Education:- Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Courses and Training:- Board-certified or eligible for board certification through a member board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association. Upon Hire Required and
- Completion of fellowships in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease through programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Upon Hire Required and
- Must qualify and be a member of the medical staff of the hospital(s) in which procedures are being performed. Upon Hire Required
