Experienced Women s Health Nurse Practitioner Needed in Dallas, Texas

Methodist Medical Group is a premier physician-led organization affiliated with Methodist Health System in Dallas, Texas, who is actively seeking a full-time experienced Women s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our OBGYN clinic in southern sector of Dallas, where we provide compassionate, evidence-based care to women and families throughout their reproductive journey. We are a busy, community-focused clinic committed to empowering individuals through education and personalized support.

The ideal WHNP candidate will be a highly skilled and compassionate professional committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to women from adolescence through menopause, with a strong focus on pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment dedicated to positive birth outcomes and women's health advocacy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women, including physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and individualized care plans.
  • Assist in managing prenatal patients in collaboration with the OB/GYN physician
  • Conduct well-woman exams, family planning counseling, and gynecological care.
  • Educate patients and their families on various health topics, including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, and women's health.
  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Respond to emergent situations calmly and effectively, initiating appropriate interventions and seeking consultation when necessary.
  • Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a WHNP program, board certification
  • Current, unencumbered licensure as a WHNP in the State of Texas or eligibility for licensure
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • 2 years of recent, relevant experience as a practicing WHNP
  • IUD insertion and removals (willing to train)
  • Experience with Epic, preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
