The facility features advanced ICU capabilities including neurology/neurosurgery units and maintains Level 2 trauma designation, ensuring high-quality critical care services.

Opportunity:
Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care

Job Details:
• Provide acute care nurse practitioner services in ICU settings with 14-16 patient encounters per shift
• Work 12-hour shifts (6am-6am or 6pm-6am) with clinic-only coverage
• Handle patient admissions and discharges efficiently
• Respond to and run codes as needed
• Perform critical procedures including intubation, central line placement, dialysis line insertion, and arterial line placement
• Communicate effectively with internal floors and coordinate patient transfers
• Potential placement on Neuro-ICU for neurology/neurosurgery patients (neuro experience preferred)
• Work collaboratively with physicians during day shifts and maintain phone availability during night coverage
• Must be board certified or truly board eligible Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
• Prefer candidates with 1-2 years of acute care experience
• Must maintain active Texas license and current DEA registration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Clean professional files required - urgent need for coverage
• Initial assignment July 31 - August 3 with potential for ongoing shifts
• 90-day credentialing timeframe
