Locum tenens Nurse Practitioner coverage in an emergency department setting
Combined volume listed: 93 total encounters per day
No procedures required
Coverage Model
Physicians: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM day coverage plus a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM night shift
NP or PA: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM day coverage and 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM night coverage
Required Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner
Active Tennessee RN license and Tennessee NP license
Board certification through AANP or ANCC
ACLS and PALS
DEA with Tennessee address and required prescriptive authority
Case logs for the past 2 years
Preeclampsia and eclampsia CME required during initial application and every two years for reappointments
Credentialing and Onboarding
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 61 to 90 days
MMR and Varicella vaccination series or titers
Two step TB test within the past 12 months or Quantiferon Gold within the past 3 months
If TB test is positive: chest X ray within the past 3 months
