Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Job Description MountainView Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Medicine team. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a fast-paced, well-supported emergency department with strong physician coverage, streamlined workflows, and a collaborative clinical environment. • Annual ED volume: 32,000 visits
• 22 Emergency Department beds
• 24-hour physician coverage
• 20 hours of NP/PA coverage daily
• Average patient load: 1.8 patients/hour
• Admission rate: 25%
• EMR system: MEDHOST EDIS
• Expedited credentialing available

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions
• Provide timely, high-quality emergency care within scope of practice
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and consulting specialists
• Assist in procedures and stabilization of critically ill patients when appropriate
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
• Follow hospital protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based guidelines

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current New Mexico NP or PA license (or eligibility for licensure)
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency department environment
• Prior emergency medicine experience preferred
