Job Summary
This position provides both clinical and administrative support within an occupational health setting. The role reports directly to the Clinical Coordinator and collaborates closely with the Medical Director and Division Administrator of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
• Triage and treat minor work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses
• Dispense OTC and prescription medications per standing orders
• Conduct onsite lab/specimen collection for employees
• Perform urine drug screening and breath alcohol testing per protocol
• Assess conditions such as:
o Strep pharyngitis
o UTI
o Influenza
o Hyperglycemia / Hypoglycemia
• Provide case management to reduce illness and absenteeism
• Coordinate second opinions for workers' compensation or disability cases
• Administer and coordinate seasonal influenza vaccination programs
• Deliver patient education on illnesses, medications, and treatments
• Collaborate with PCPs and specialists for patient care continuity
Administrative Duties
• Maintain and update clinical procedures, protocols, and standing orders
• Ensure adequate clinical supplies
• Maintain CLIA certification (Pennsylvania) for onsite lab testing
• Manage and maintain patient medical records
Collaboration & Program Support
o Plan wellness initiatives and health education events
o Manage workers compensation cases
o Expand clinic services
• Coordinate monthly health education seminars
• Provide medical guidance to HR and Safety/Risk Management teams
Additional Responsibilities
• Provide crisis intervention when needed
• Ensure compliance with Johns Hopkins protocols, state regulations, and professional standards
• Build relationships with local providers for backup care
• Ensure timely issue resolution and follow-up with employees
• Maintain a clean and professional clinic environment
• Conduct duties with professionalism and accountability

Minimum Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Active Maryland license (Board of Nursing or Board of Physicians)
• National Board Certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in adult medicine
Certifications (Preferred)
• DOT Medical Examiner Certification
• Certified Urine Drug Screen C
