Neurology Physician

Responsible for defining clinical priorities within neurology and neurosurgery, recruitment of appropriate physician staff, clinical oversight of EEG, EMG, Stroke Unit, research and other neuroscience initiatives to be developed within WellSpan Health. Administers and directs the activities of assigned personnel. Provides medical care to patients. Reviews the quality, adequacy and appropriateness of services within the department.

WellSpan Health is seeking a neurologist to join our well-established practice in Chambersburg and Waynesboro, PA. The position is primarily outpatient with some inpatient coverage or call. • Enjoy a primarily outpatient general neurology practice, with light inpatient responsibilities for STO coverage and weekend call
• Join 4 other Neurologists working in two practice locations 15 minutes apart
• Practice on the medical campuses of WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital and WellSpan Waynesboro Hospital, offering seamless access to hospital-based resources and support

  Minimum Education:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

  Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

  Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Medicine. Upon Hire Required and
  • Completion of a Neurology residency. Upon Hire Required and
  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required
