Neurology Physician

Responsible for defining clinical priorities within neurology and neurosurgery, recruitment of appropriate physician staff, clinical oversight of EEG, EMG, Stroke Unit, research and other neuroscience initiatives to be developed within WellSpan Health. Administers and directs the activities of assigned personnel. Provides medical care to patients. Reviews the quality, adequacy and appropriateness of services within the department.

Summary: WellSpan?s Neuroscience Service Line is expanding our outpatient Neurology services in York, PA! We are seeking board certified, fellowship trained Neurologists with clinical expertise in Movement Disorders, Brain Injury, Epilepsy, Dementia, and Vascular Neurology.

What You?ll Champion:

• Join a team of 7 Neurologists and 4 APPs in our well-respected practice with a large referral base
• Take over a panel from a retiring neurologist
• Current call schedule 1:8 and will be 1:11 when fully staffed
• We offer ambulatory and long-term video EEG monitoring; EMG lab close by
• Academic interests welcome
• Medical Directorships available with requisite experience

  Qualifications
  
  Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

  Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

  Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of the American Board of Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Medicine. Upon Hire Required and
  • Completion of a Neurology residency. Upon Hire Required and
  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York Hospital. Upon Hire Required
