Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Oncologist, you will join Dignity Health Medical Group - North State, a multi-specialty group in Redding, California, as we prepare to open our new $70 million regional cancer center. You will play a pivotal role in a well-established and Commission on Cancer Accredited program (for 36 years), contributing to a comprehensive cancer program dedicated to meeting the needs of our community.

You will provide expert clinical care, supported by your own dedicated team including an RN, MA, and scheduler. Our two Redding locations boast 24 infusion chairs, managed by experienced OCN certified oncology nurses, and our oncology team works in close collaboration with an outstanding pharmacy team providing on-site compounding and consult services. Our comprehensive cancer program also provides robust support from nurse navigators, social workers, a dedicated pharmacy liaison for oral medication, a research coordinator, genetic counselors, a rapid diagnosis clinic, weekly tumor board, and a 17-bed inpatient unit with daily multidisciplinary rounds.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Board Certified/Board Eligible Medical Oncologist with a passion for patient care, a commitment to collegial collaboration, and an interest in growing with a leading healthcare system as it expands its state-of-the-art cancer services.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive medical oncology care to patients within a fully accredited cancer program.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, pharmacists, and support staff.
  • Participate in weekly tumor board and contribute to clinical trials and cancer program development.
  • Engage with the community and embrace the growth of a new regional cancer center.

We are offering the following incentives to eligible new hires:

  • $770,000 / Year Salary Guarantee for 5 years, with wRVU bonus.
  • $80,000 Sign-on bonus.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Active or eligible for medical license in the state of California
  • Completion of an Oncology Fellowship
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
