Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our academic and clinical neurosurgeon you will provide quality-driven, patient-centered services for general neurosurgery with a spine focus. You will join our progressive and rapidly expanding Neuroscience Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. Our strategic plan includes development of a neurosurgery residency program in coming years. CHI Health, which is a member of CommonSpirit Health System - The Nations' largest faith based health system.

Every day you will provide comprehensive neurosurgery services in an academically driven environment. The Neuroscience Institute integrates leading medical experts in the subspecialties of neurology, neuroradiology, neuro-critical care, radiation oncology and neurosurgery to offer highly advanced care for patients with the most complex neurological disorders.

To be successful in this role, you will be board eligible or board certified in neurosurgery. This position is perfect for a spine specialized Neurosurgeon interested in also maintaining a practice in general neurosurgery in the context of a Level I Trauma Center. Primary practice location is at the Creighton University Medical Center Bergan Mercy.

  • Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Certified Center with biplane suite
  • ACS Level I Trauma Center
  • Dedicated neurosurgery operating room block time
  • Modern OR equipment including Kinevo microscope with fluorescence, Stealth navigation, O-Arm, etc.

  • Academic affiliation with Creighton University School of Medicine, ability to practice in Clinical and Academic settings

Job Requirements

Required

  • MD or DO degree
  • BE/BC in Neurosurgery
  • Ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska
  • DEA Certification
  • BLS
