ABOUT THE ROLE

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking a Pediatric Allergist/Immunologist to join the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pulmonology, Section of Allergy and Immunology. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing program with strong institutional support, a collaborative team environment, and access to a large and diverse patient population.

This role offers a balance of clinical practice, teaching, and program development, with the opportunity to support a robust immunodeficiency program and expand specialized services such as oral immunotherapy. There is also an opportunity to pursue a physician-scientist track for candidates with research interests in immunology.

PRACTICE HIGHLIGHTS
  • Clinical Practice: Clinical Practice: 5 6 half-day outpatient clinics per week with a strong referral base in pediatric allergy, immunology, and immunodeficiency
  • Expanded Patient Scope: Opportunity to treat both pediatric and adult patients, with a strong focus on immunodeficiency care
  • No Call Requirement: No call responsibilities, supporting strong work-life balance
  • Team Structure: Supported by two Advanced Practice Providers
  • Academic Environment: Teach and mentor medical students and residents while actively contributing to an academic medical center
  • Call Coverage: Shared call rotation designed to support work-life balance across the team
  • Program Growth Opportunity: Play a key role in expanding immunodeficiency services and developing programs such as oral immunotherapy
  • Research Opportunity: Optional physician-scientist track available for candidates interested in immunology research
