Our Neurology department is expanding, and we are seeking a highly motivated, patient-centered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our collaborative team in Fort Walton Beach. Position Overview As an NP or PA in our Neurology division, you will work closely with board-certified neurologists to provide comprehensive care to patients with neurological disorders. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialty expertise while managing a diverse range of conditions and building meaningful, long-term patient relationships. Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and detailed neurological assessments
  • Diagnose and manage conditions such as headaches, migraines, neuropathy, epilepsy, stroke follow-up, and neurodegenerative disorders
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including imaging (MRI/CT), EEGs, and laboratory studies
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to therapy
  • Provide patient education on neurological conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
  • Collaborate closely with neurologists, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current Florida NP or PA license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience in neurology, internal medicine, or related field preferred but not required
  • Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
Working Hours
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Schedule: Monday Friday
  • Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (end time may vary based on patient volume)
